Workshop ON MY WAY HOME

Become a part of ON MY WAY HOME

We are looking for:

7 people from Cologne and around +18 (no age limit) who identify themselves as BIPoC and from the african diaspora (queer, trans, non-binary welcome) with a personal connection to the themes of identity, resistance and decolonization. No artistic experience needed.

About the project:

ON MY WAY HOME is a hybrid performance with dance, film, panel and bricks. Together with Rautenstrauch-Joest-Museum, we are questioning “being a subject” and the right to one's own identity. Artistic direction: Lucia Oiro (Germany/Kenya) & Reinaldo Ribeiro (Spain/Brazil).

About the workshop:

You’ll spend a day with the artistic team in our rehearsal space in the museum, in a playful way you gain insight to our way of working, connect and share with each other. After the workshop on 1.5, there will be a performance on 2.5 & 3.5 , where you will participate in the end.

— workshop with the team on 1st of may
— Performance May 2 & 3, 2025 at the Rautenstrauch-Joest Museum
— no fee for the workshop, small expense allowance guaranteed

* who speak English and/or German
