SONA - Seeing Sound

That's what it's all about
Imagine entering a world without light, where only sounds shape your reality. Equipped with motion detection, headphones and sensory shoes, you immerse yourself in the virtual world. Every step becomes a sound on a virtual surface - you walk through snow, a forest or over a carpet of sound. An acoustic labyrinth challenges your orientation. Artificial intelligence shows you the way. SONA teaches you to see virtual reality with your ears.
That's why you have to get in
SONA is more than just a virtual reality game. It is a journey into the world of blind people - an experience that lets you experience the world through new senses. For the Sommerblut Festival, a team of visually impaired and blind game designers came together to create new levels, stories and sounds for this unique game.
Pssst!
On May 5, starting at 7 p.m. in the beautiful atrium of TanzFaktur, there will be a talk about the creation process of SONA. The evening will combine the talk with concerts by Debasish Bhattacharjee, Ramesh Shotham and Keshav Purushotham.
Attention: The game takes place in complete darkness.
A co-production of the Blindenverein Köln, the Sommerblut Kulturfestival, the laboratory for inclusive culture of Un-Label and SONA.
