What it's all about
Cologne 2025: The number of people living in homelessness and homelessness continues to rise. And this despite the city's commitment to end this by 2030. The assistance system is reaching its limits, and achieving this goal remains a utopian dream. So there are many reasons to protest. Enough to show resistance, to try out rebellion, to disrupt. But who is disrupting and in what way? Who is heard? Who abstains from the discourse, who will abstain?
That's why you need to come
The DRUGLAND Ensemble reoccupies the so-called space outside and tells of social utopias, of quiet and loud rebellion, of being outside as protest and of the many invisible people. It tells of its own experiences with resistance: of being in the way - as a homeless person - and consumption as an exit, but also of rebellion and the courage to take up space. And it talks about thinking of shared spaces as such: in solidarity.
Pssst!
DRUGLAND Theater is an open theater group under the direction of Producing Sibylle. It is aimed at people who have experienced homelessness and/or addiction. On stage, the ensemble (autobiographically) deals with pressing socio-political issues.
A supporting program is offered on all three performance days. The program starts at 6 pm. The Orangerie Theater opens its doors for you at 17:30. Your ticket is also valid for the supporting program on the same day. We are happy to receive a donation on site.
The multimedia installation room is open daily from 5 - 8 pm.
