This is what it's all about

“Human dignity is inviolable” - this is Article 1.1 of the German Basic Law. Nevertheless, from the Nazi era to the present day, there has been and still is an enormous amount of unequal treatment of people with disabilities. Lost Paradise contrasts the original, universal equality of human beings with the neoliberal marketplace. How does this contradiction affect our social coexistence?

That's why you should come

Under the brutalist vault of Cologne's Kulturkirche St. Gertrud, an asymmetrical image installation is created around the audience, in which dance, theater, photo and video art merge. Performers with and without disabilities embody living sculptures between five-meter-high, slanted objects. Stories meet stories. The audience is invited to share their experiences on the subject of value judgments with the artistic team live and via the 'Paradise Regained' chat platform.

Pssst!

The club68köln association - an association for disabled and non-disabled people - was founded 50 years ago in Cologne. The chat platform 'Paradise Regained', on the other hand, is brand new - and you can be one of the first users!

In cooperation with club68köln Verein für Behinderte und Nichtbehinderte e.V.
